Celebrities know what's best for you

I find celebrity endorsements of presidential canidates almost comical. I mean here are people who live and work in a world that's so far removed from anything the common man is used to so they may pontificating about issues that may or may not affect the amount of blow they are doing. This election cycle many of them have taken time from abusing their underpaid servants to speak out in favor of their candiate of choice.

A bunch of stars have made a music video set to one of Obama's speeches. I love Obama as an orrator and the song is pretty cool. Most of the celebrities I've never heard of though. I mean there's some girl who was on a bad doctor show and left to star in another bad doctor show. Then there's that guy from that movie a while back. Then there's someone who used to work for E!

Do these people think because they're famous that I'm going to throw my weight behind their opinion? Do they believe we are a bunch of easily duped....wait....who's that blonde in that video? Oh my is that her? It is!

Vote Obama NOW. Wiwille says so.

Seriously folks do go out and vote.

"My first job is to say thank you to those who voted me. Those who didn't, I'm going to get your vote next time." - Barack Obama

The anti-endorsement says more about the artist than the politician. I heard that John "Don't call me Cougar" Mellencamp has asked Sen. McCain to stop using his songs in his campaign.

Wouldn't it make more sense if he doesn't want to endorse McCain to just go out and say "I've taken all this royalty money from the McCain campaign and I'm donating it to the [insert Democratic candidate here] campaign."

That chick from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air is hot, so is Scarlett and so is that Pussy Cat Doll. Obama already had my vote (I don't have one), but even more now.

If Kareem Abdul Jabar says so then I am all for him! haha... seriously. It is a little scary when people who are normally not political endorse a candidate. Strange things.

I don't know about this. Something about it just creeps me out a little bit. It sends the message that if the message comes from a celebrity's mouth I can hear it better. Bullshiz to that.

It's my first time hearing this speech, and I gotta say, it's a good one. And I agree... the song was pretty catchy.

It cracks me up that someone might actually decide who they are voting for based upon a celebrity endorsement. But people have done much crazier things, so I guess it happens.
