This day many are barbecuing, kicking back a beer or seven, and enjoying a day off. As Americans who live above the poverty line we live in luxury that most of the world can't even imagine. While we may thank our geography and timing for the blessed lives we lead we do owe a huge debt to the men and women who serve this great nation, past and present.We may not agree with the policies of our current and former commander in chiefs, but we must appreciate the people who make up the armed services. So on this day as your enjoying your hot dogs and various outings do remember who it was who gave you the freedom to live in your gluttony. It's the very least you can do.

Man, I day off would have been perfect today.
"A" day off... don't mind me, I'm confusing my vowels.
I thought of my gramps yesterday, who died in the war. It's good to think of those who died for us, not just beer, although I did think of beer too ;)
