Thursday Music

A friend of mine is often told she looks like various celebrities. From Gennifer Goodwin to Julia Stiles some strangers actually approach her swearing that she works in Hollywood. They do share a common likeness, but the one actress she truly resembles is Reese Witherspoon.

Besides the accent the resemblance is uncanny. She found a picture of Reese from some movie where she has the same pose as my friend's profile pic on Facebook. A double take. It was taken.

Ms. Witherspoon is responsible for me going against my better judgement and watching any and all movies she's in for obvious reasons. Some are quite good (Walk the Line, Freeway) and others not so much (Legally Blonde part 2, Vanity Fair).

So today dear readers I give you Reese singing in the style of June Carter, which I find way hot for reasons I can't explain:

"Well I always wanted to be Dolly Parton when I was a little girl. I was obsessed with her." - Reese Witherspoon

You find it hot because you have a "thing" for women with Southern accents. ;-)

I grew up listening to Johnny Cash & June Carter. I think Walk the Line was an alright movie. I am still bummed that Joaquin Phoenix didn't get an award for his role. He was amazing-- learning the guitar and really nailing the singing style of "the Man in Black".

She was in a movie a hundred years ago called Man in the Moon or Man on the Moon.....

It was "Man in the Moon" and it was her film debut at the age of 13 or 14. It's a very sweet film that will bring tears to your eyes.

I think I saw that movie when she was a teen. I don't like her as much now as I used to, but liked her in "Walk the Line".
